Burn Barrel Spotting

While driving into my neighborhood today, I spotted a familiar plume of smoke originating from across the street from my house.  While I had to struggle to gain a visual confirmation of a burn barrel, I eventually found the evidence I needed.  Sure enough my neighbor is a brother of the burn.  I knew this was a good neighborhood!

  1. this is a freedom we all want....i grew up with a burn barrel....EVERYTHING GOT BURNT! we would recycle bottles, cans and wearable clothing. everything else was burnt...i grew up learning that if you didnt need it, give it a way or burn it....we have a burn barrel now and my g.f. cleans out closets and if we cant use it she burns it...anything like clothing left over from yard sales or something no one wants she puts a match to....keep this right! no one should take this right from us....its a good final way to dispose of stuff without much problem.

  2. Oh, man, I just wish I'd found this blog a couple of years ago when it was still active. I am a fellow brother of the burn. I grew up in the country and we had a couple of burn barrels. It is the only fitting way to get rid of trash. I live in town now but still have a cabin in the country with a burn barrel out back. Hope you can get the site active again.
